Do you know that Senior Advocacy Services relies on the work of our volunteers to reach seniors across Sonoma County? Our next Ombudsman Training begins in August, and we need more volunteers to help advocate for residents of long term care facilities across our county.
We also need Medicare counseling volunteers in Lake, Mendocino and Napa Counties, and financial analysis volunteers for Sonoma County FAST (Financial Abuse Specialist Team). If you have ever considered giving back with your time, we are looking for good listeners who care about helping older adults in a meaningful way.
Did you know the number one way a new volunteer gets started volunteering is by someone they know suggesting it? Do you have a friend, family member or neighbor who would make a good advocate? They can check out our video series:
Consider volunteering by speaking to a member of our staff. Call us at 707-526-4108 and ask to speak with Karen A (x1o4) or Kathy B (x110) or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
