It's that time of year again to schedule a HICAP presentation about Medicare and the changes for 2012. This year the "Baby Boomers" are turning age 65 and there are approximately 8,000 people per day nationwide newly eligible for Medicare. The Boomers will want to know who needs to apply and who will automatically be enrolled. Should they sign up for both Medicare Parts A and B now, or does their situation allow them to postpone Part B? What are the other insurance options that help fill in the "gaps" of Medicare? Do they need a prescription drug plan or are they adequately covered by their employer group health plan? These and other questions are answered in a HICAP presentation.
