The Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP) of the North Bay serves 226,000 Medicare beneficiaries in Sonoma, Lake, Solano, Mendocino, Napa and Marin Counties.

During the fiscal year of 2010/2011, HICAP provided services and information for:

• 2,337 counseled clients
• 224 low income beneficiaries
• 182 beneficiaries with Medicare due to disability
• 92 community presentations
• 6,623 attendees of community presentation attendees

During fiscal year 2010/2011, HICAP saved $555,000 for the clients they counseled.
